Josh Wool is a Southern ex pat now based in New York City. While he shoots a mixture of landscapes and portraits, it is his nudes- which despite the image we profiled above often border on having an almost film noir, erotic-like aesthetic- that are his strong point. Making use of ambient light and being comfortable with the imperfections of film (whether real or achieved in post-production we don’t know), Wool also has a tendency to use slower shutter speeds which give his nudes an antiquated look. Wool is also on Tumblr so follow him here.
